by Zig Noda
Randy Pausch was a professor at CMU and was told he had 3 to 6 months to live. A month later he delivered his “last lecture” which has been viewed by millions of people worldwide. His last lecture was about “How to Achieve Childhood Dreams”. He passed away July 2008 at the age of 47.
“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you.”
The main points of his last lecture are:
1. Having FUN.
2. Never lose wonder.
3. Help others.
4. Loyalty is a two way street.
5. Never give up.
6. Get people to help you.
7. Tell the truth.
8. Be earnest.
9. Apologize when you screw up.
10. Focus on OTHER PEOPLE not on yourself.
11. Realize brick walls show our dedication.
12. Don’t bail.
13. Do the right things and good stuff has a way of happening.
14. Get feedback and listen to it and use it.
15. Show gratitude.

21. Enable the dreams of others.
The last main point to remember was “It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you.”
